This  Parachute Regiment took the name of the famous Folgore Parachute division which fought gloriously in El-Alamein. This elit unit -leader Maggiore Edoardo Sala- was composed of 3 batalions :
1 Btg paracadutisti FOLGORE
2 Btg paracadutisti NEMBO
3 Btg paracadutisti AZZURO
Formed at the end of the war, they fought against French army on the Alps front line in order to avoid the french occupation of Val d'Aoste.
 

This paratrooper wear collar patches called Mostrine (it shows the NEMBO mostrina), on the left arm there is the motto of RSI : Per l'Onore d'Italia (for the Honour of Italy). The dagger is worn as an Ardito, famous elit unit of WWI.
